The brief

Why this appointment exists

Introd needs more than investor introductions. It needs experienced judgment about financing, sequencing, organizational design, executive recruitment, governance, strategic leverage, and the decisions that become expensive to reverse.

We want someone who has built companies, invested through multiple stages, served on serious boards, or helped founders navigate the transition from product formation to institutional company building.

The work

Advisory contribution

  • Pressure-test capital strategy and financing readiness
  • Review fundraising narrative and investor materials
  • Advise on investor targeting and process design
  • Challenge hiring sequence, organizational design, and senior-role timing
  • Support governance design and board development
  • Review strategic financing or partnership opportunities
  • Advise on incentive alignment and long-term ownership
  • Mentor the founder through high-consequence company-building decisions
  • Introduce relevant people selectively when there is a clear thesis
  • Help Introd avoid raising, hiring, or partnering for the wrong reasons

Relevant paths

Who may recognize themselves

  • Former VC partner or principal
  • Experienced angel investor
  • Exited founder or repeat founder
  • Former CFO, COO, or company-building executive
  • Independent director
  • Accelerator or venture-studio leader
  • Senior operator who has helped companies move from formation through institutional funding

Candidate evidence

Describe a company-building decision you materially influenced: the company’s stage, your actual contribution, the tradeoff, what happened, what you would advise differently today, and any current investments, board roles, or conflicts relevant to Introd.

No implied promise

Future governance

A future board appointment, if ever considered, would require a separate evaluation of contribution, independence, fiduciary fit, governance needs, conflicts, and formal corporate approval.

Clear boundaries

Appointment terms

  • This is an advisory appointment, not employment, with written scope, confidentiality, conflict and portfolio-company disclosure, and clear recusal expectations.
  • Any time-based or milestone-based option vesting requires formal approval.
  • There is no transaction-based payment for fundraising introductions unless separately reviewed for legal compliance, and no guaranteed director, observer, officer, or investment rights.

Contribution and ownership

Ownership should follow contribution.

Introd is being built by people who think and act like owners. Depending on the opportunity, commitment, applicable law, and formal approval, compensation may include stock options subject to the company’s equity plan, vesting terms, exercise conditions, and required corporate approvals.

A founding title describes the stage and level of contribution. It does not by itself create founder, officer, director, shareholder, or governance status.

A wider field of view

Bring the path that brought you here

The strongest teams are built by people with different histories, perspectives, and ways of seeing a problem. Introd considers qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

If the work sounds like yours but your background does not match every conventional pattern, we still want to hear from you.
