Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 15, 2026 · Effective: May 15, 2026
1. Introduction
Introd Technologies Inc. (“Introd”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) builds relationship-intelligence software that helps people find their warmest path to any person, company, or check. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, the choices and rights you have, and how we keep it secure. It applies to our websites (including getintrod.ai), web and mobile applications, APIs, integrations, communications, and any other services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Service”).
We designed Introd around the principle that your network is yours. We do not sell personal information, we do not rent it to advertisers, and we apply the principle of least collection: we only ask for data we need to deliver a clearly useful outcome to you.
2. Scope and roles
When you sign up for an individual account, Introd is the “controller” of your personal information. When your employer or organization provides Introd to you (for example, a team or enterprise workspace), that organization is the controller and Introd acts as a “processor” on its behalf under a separate Data Processing Agreement. In that case, the organization’s privacy notice governs how your data is handled, and this policy explains our underlying processing.
3. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account data: name, email address, password hash, profile photo, company, role, time zone, and language.
- Network and relationship data: contacts, connections, message metadata, calendar metadata, interaction frequency, and relationship signals derived from sources you choose to sync (for example, email, calendar, LinkedIn, CRM).
- Content you submit: notes, tags, lists, intro requests, drafts, attachments, and feedback.
- Billing data: plan, billing contact, VAT/tax IDs, transaction history, and payment method tokens held by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and device data: pages viewed, features used, referring URLs, IP address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, crash logs, and performance traces.
- Communications: messages you send to us by email, chat, or support tickets, and records of phone or video calls you choose to record.
- Inferences: trust scores, suggested paths, and other derived signals computed from the data above to power Introd’s recommendations.
We do not intentionally collect special categories of personal data (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data). Please do not upload such information to Introd.
4. Sources of information
We collect information directly from you when you create an account, configure integrations, or contact us; automatically when you use the Service; and from third parties you authorize (for example, identity providers such as Google or Microsoft, your CRM, or LinkedIn). We may also receive limited business-contact information from reputable enrichment providers to improve company and role accuracy.
5. How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Compute trust scores, suggested paths, and other relationship intelligence.
- Authenticate you, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms.
- Send transactional messages (receipts, security alerts, product updates).
- Provide support and respond to your requests.
- Measure and analyze product usage to improve quality and reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect rights, property, and safety.
- With your consent, send marketing communications; you can opt out at any time.
We do not use the content of your messages, calendar events, or contact metadata to train third-party generative AI models. Where we use AI to power product features, we run those workloads in environments contractually restricted to serving your request.
6. Legal bases (EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following bases: contract (to provide the Service you requested), legitimate interests (to secure, improve, and market our Service in a proportionate way), consent (for non-essential cookies and certain marketing), and legal obligation (for tax, accounting, and compliance).
8. Subprocessors
We use a small number of vetted subprocessors for cloud hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and customer support. A current list, including the categories of data and the regions where data is processed, is available on request at privacy@getintrod.ai.
9. International data transfers
Introd is headquartered in the United States and we process data in the U.S. and the EU. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and, where applicable, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We assess transfers against the destination country’s laws and apply additional safeguards where appropriate.
10. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide the Service, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it (for example, billing records for tax purposes). Backups are purged on a rolling 35-day cycle.
11. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), least-privilege access controls, audit logging, dependency scanning, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring. Detailed information is available on our Security page. No system is completely secure; if you suspect an account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
12. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can exercise most of these directly from your account settings or by emailing privacy@getintrod.ai. We respond within the time periods required by applicable law (typically 30 days). You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. U.S. state privacy rights
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and other U.S. state residents have specific rights, including the right to know, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal information, and the right to opt out of “sales” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under U.S. state laws. To exercise your rights, email privacy@getintrod.ai. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf, subject to verification.
14. Children
Introd is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. Automated decision-making
Introd uses algorithms to rank potential paths and to suggest people who might intro you. These are decision-support tools; a human (you) always chooses whether to send a request. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
17. Third-party links and integrations
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party services. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them. Disconnecting an integration in Introd stops future syncs but does not delete data those third parties have already received.
18. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice in the Service before the changes take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
19. Contact and complaints
You can reach our privacy team at privacy@getintrod.ai. For postal mail, write to: Introd Technologies Inc., Attn: Privacy, 2261 Market Street #4517, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. EEA/UK residents may also contact our EU representative at the same address pending appointment, and may lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
